101m.... that is one serious dive!
congratulations and respect!

Ok, that's 1 meter/month, so by this time next year, the free immersion record should be 113m -- just edging out Sept. 2004's 112m record.

Has there eve been a year like this with respect to freediving records? Crazy stuff. Congratulations to the folks that are pioneering these deep dives.

Historical record of Carlos Coste

On Saturday 4 of October of 2003 Carlos Coste it surprises once again to all the followers of their career and the sport of the apnea, when with an immersion -101 meters he becomes the first human being in lowering more than 100 meters deep with so alone a puff of air and without any type of attendance more than their own body.

The new world registration, in the modality of apnea free immersion, it was achieved again in the sector Small Picúa of the National Park Mochima, Estado Anzoátegui in the event denominated Challenge in the Abyss 2003.

The immersion that had a duration of 4 minutes with 3 seconds was worth him the second world record to Carlos in one week, when having gotten the world record of Apnea Constant Weight without Fins days behind.

This record was supervised again by the international judges AIDA, Marcello Of Matteis of Switzerland and Terry Gladstone of Canada and it had AIDA Venezuela's guarantee and the Underwater Activities Venezuelan Federation.
