All you Cayman experts, unirdna and I need a hotel to crash in the night of Sunday, June 4, close to the Grand Cayman Airport. We will be coming through from Little Cayman, on the way to Tampa the next morning. I had planned to stay at Sammy's, adjacent to the airport, but they aren't responding. So, what else is available that is close to the airport? Or, does anybody know the trick for contacting Sammy's? Whatever alternative, cheap is better, of course. Also, is there any decent food in the same area?

Thanks,

Connor

I really never payed any attention to Sammys when I lived in Cayman - It's possible they never re-opened after the hurricane if you can't get thru - But you could try comfort suits, sunset house, Treasure Island anything along the lower half of 7 mile beach is only around 10 min from the airport or anything around George Town - 5-8 min.... good luck...

You could try the Ritz-Carlton. They're usually quite tolerable.

Ah Paul, I think you've been spending too much time in New York, or is DB's expense account that good?

Let's see, if I'm parsing this question correctly, the answer is Yes.

I have been spending too much time in New York. A day is quite sufficient to remind me why I left in the first place.
