Selamat Eid Ilfitri to our Islamic friends. This is the celebration of the end of Ramahdan; a month of fasting that tests the will of many people. I managed to fast with a frind of mine, but allowed my self drinks during the day. It is harder than you might think!Jakarta has basically shut down as most of the 20 million people here return to their birth villages for a few days.....it is strangely quiet here, and a lot of things are closed.

He didn't eat while the sun was up...right erik? when it is dark they eat, but not daytime...

I have been fasting last few weeks, because I can't afford to eat.. but hey soon it is Christmas and I go home...to eat!!
