Central Wisconsin Speargun Hunter's "Triple Crown"

Our group is going to be leaving on the 3rd of July for a weekend of spearing merriment. We will drive to door county spear, then camp that night in peninsula state park. On the 4th we will spear in Door County again, then drive to Sheboygan, spear that, then finish off the night sleeping in Milwaukee. On the 5th, we will go to the (SSYC) and stay in Madison. On the 6th, we will drive to Madison for Menona, and then on the way up if the vis is good enough we will dive Crystal Lake. If anyone wants to meet up, or tag-along you are more than welcome.
 
will be there. i had no idea we were gonna hit the madison lakes... but hell thats gonna be sweet
 
10 hours 26 minutes, 551.31 miles, and a heck of alot of fun. (constant drive estimates, but we will stop to spearfish of course)
I figured out the trip plans and directions and the average cost for fuel will be about $20.00 per person (with fleshy's civ, and waldo's bio-d)
Going to be freaking awesome.

ILL BE THERE...i dont know if my dads gona let me take his car tho dont count on that! But for sure this will be amazing!
 
same here. and u better be taking the jetta cause otherwise the price will shoot up to about 35 dollars a person. that car is awesome. and when is flesh leaving for the internship?
 
I'm pretty sure hes leaving either end of July, or begining of August.
Don't quote me on that though.
 
What is your tourney based on? Points? Fish? Just fun? are you doing prizes? I have to work that weekend- but I was just curious.
 
Hey whop. The "Triple Crown" is not going to be a tourney. Its just a trip that people can tag along, or buy to have transport through someone else. Right now it looks as if we will be taking the Ford, if I can talk my dad into that, and if its working again. We are having the central wisconsin speargun hunter tournament though, and that is based on points, as I hate tourneys that are based off of how many fish you shoot, encouraging senseless carnage. (Unless its carp! :rcard) Waldo, if you cant drive, ticket prices will skyrocket, as I only have room for three people in the civ.
 
I know! I dont think that my dad is going to let a bunch of teens take his 16 thousand dollar car all the way around the state for like 4 days! nonetheless, i will try

Well, it looks like we will be taking the van then...MIKE! Now everyone that wants in owes like $30 cause of that piece of shit ride... Why are we arguing about this on here? I see you almost every day! rofl
 
hah thats totally gay. 30 dollars will put me at negative 190.80 after that stupid speeding ticket. o well at least we wot have to pay for food since we should be shooting enough to eat.:t
 
Wow. Yea. Get a job fool. Brad got an application from charcoal grill today, so thats what you should do as well. What did your "dad" say about the wetsuit?

5%... well those are good odds walder. What kind of mileage does the van get anyways, cause we could probably all fit in the van.
 
hey guys man the "Triple Crown" Sounds awesome but i don't tink i can come because i have to go to my dads house which normally i would be pretty excited about because his house is awesome. but now i cant go on the "triple crown" and i was really looking forward to kicking all your butts in door county. Maybe you should postpone it like you were thinking before?
 
On the last tank i got 20mpg, but that was driving good, and with only one person in it and no middle seat, so we put everybody and anything in it will weigh it down a bit but slitt probally like 17 or 18...
 
Well start planning on the 25, 26, & 27! My parents say that we will not be baling hay AGAIN, RANDOMLY, that weekend. Its a shame this one got cut short by baling hay. But we will see what Sam and I can do on sunday I think.
 
first off walder ur dad says the van gets 10 mpg so rule that out. but flesh u should toss up those pictures of michigan or start a new thread
 
Well here is a sampling of whats going to happen on the 25, 26, and the 27th. We went up to door county, specifiicly to Egg Harbor, a place where pinggene had taken me before. We saw a lot of carp, but with only one gun between us, a lot of them got away. Saw one baby hippo who might have been in the mid 40's. I shot the carp, and ethan shot the drum. When we got there the beach was vacant, and when we started swimming back we realized that the beach was now filled with people. We swam out of the way of the beach, but walked through the beach with the fish. Cant tell you how many oohs and ahhs the carp was worth. It was a good time, and Im looking forward to finding some more places like that.

Here are some more pictures from our sample adventure. The first picture is some round gobies, 2nd is "winks" taking a dive, 3rd is me with my carp, and 4th is "baum" with a bicycle we found while diving yesterday in the plover river.
