Hi All.

Would be great if we can setup some sort of forum so that we can organize some trips to the coast. Anyone interested please pop a message is here so that we can get a estimate of the number of active 'inland' spearos.

Cheers
Corneil

Hey Corniel

also stuck high and dry in Pta! Was down in Dbn over the long weekends, but vis was shocking. Got a kind phone call from a dive buddy there today, saying how good the vis is now! Typical! :head

Anyway, count me in if you're doing a trip.

Cheers

Hi

Trying to organize a trip down to Balito or Umkomaas in the next 2 months. Ther will not b a boat, so we will have to do shore entries. Anyone know about good spots that are 'easy' to get to from shore?

Heya

Sards are at Umkomaas, and it's looking like a big shoal this year! If you're planning a trip in the next 2 months, I think soon would be a pretty exciting time to be here!! Our varsity underwater club is planning various ways to get up close since they have taken the trouble to put in an appearance this year... plans include SCUBA, snorkel, spearing or fishing.

You don't have to be a student to participate, so give me a shout if you're keen.

Yes please let me know when and where, and what the details of the proposed dives are so far. I possibly have 2 other people that can join me on a trip down.

Howzit, I am from the University of KZN, we often spear locally and mozam and would gladly provide some support if neccessary. Regards

Proposed dates are for this weekend, 28th June, we're headed most likely to Sunwich Port or Annerly. We can either meet there or at the Underwater Club at UZKN or wherever works better for you if you are staying down the coast. I'll PM you with my cell details and we can liase more directly with each other in case I'm not in front of my computer much this week, which may well happen as the vis clears :)

There is the Scuba Pro Treasure Hunt this weekend (obviously a SCUBA thing...) at Umkomaas so we'll probably spear in the morning and then head there for the fun and festivities in the evening. It was great fun last year and this year promises to be much of the same.
