I have got the h dessault sporasubs at the moment and I am thinking of getting some new blades. My problem is apart from taking out the screws on the blades I cannot figure out how to get the blades to release from the footpocket. I want to do this in a non permanent way so I can swap blades when I want.

Hi gabe,

It should be easy once the screws are out. Pull the tips of the rails away from the blade. Once that is started, bend the rails away from the blade and the slit in which the blades fit will open wide. Removal is automatic. Once the rails are released, wiggle the rest of the blade out from under the foot pocket. This may take a little force.

Getting new blades back in often takes some lubrication to get them back under the foot pocket and into the slit that is supposed to hold them. Liquid dish washing soap works fine. Sometimes I need a small screwdriver to use as a wedge to get the blades into the slit all the way. Do it gently. Getting the rails back on is the reverse of getting them off. Bend the rails at least 90 degrees and the slit opens wide enough to make it easy.
