Hey everyone

I'm saving my pennies to update my dive gear, ready to head off to nowhere in particular.

Any suggestions for a cheap dive holiday? Indonesia, mediterranean, I just don't know yet. Looking to get out of my Australian backyard (as good as it is), just for a change.

Please redirect me if I'm in the wrong section.

Cool!

Gilis in Indonesia. There is a freedive school, so you would not have to dive alone. Although the reefs are better in other places...

Not sure I've got a thick enough wetsuit/skin for Blackpool :). Looks great though. Some great pics out there. Thanks apneaboy.

The Gilis and the Phillipines, however, being warm, are right up my alley. Would love to do a course and then branch out from there. Sound feasible?

Looks like the way to go for getting serious about freediving. Added to the shortlist.
Thanks DancingBandit!

No problem!
Planning to go there myself next Jan-Feb. Never been there, but have heard a lot of good things. Blue hole ia amazing!

The cheapest dive holiday destination is your own bath tub. Add some blue food coloring to the water to make it look tropical.

I hope that helps.

Good one Eric but you forgot to add the rest of the simulation. A hand full of salt, two tablespoons from a cesspool and a jellyfish.

If you want to pretend you're diving in Blackpool then just dive in an actual cesspool. For that authentic Blackpool experience just add a a couple of condoms and a tampon, then get blind drunk and get some of your freinds to kick the crap out of you in the evening.

Freedving Muff? Frenchman hey? Hmm... Might wait for clarification before I plug that into google images.:t

Tried that bathtub thing - minus the food colouring and essence of cesspool - and admit to being underwhelmed. Maybe I'll try it in a different country? Will report back.

Plenty of fine establishments to choose from as well in Blackpool!

I have been to that place, way too many times!
