I've read a few previous threads and web reviews on the cheaper dive watches out there for freedive / spearfish use. I would like something that I could review my previous dive (time and depth).

The D3 probably offers more than I am interested in. I am more interested in the wrist watches that offer the basic features of a dive watch. This is for a bit of fun / interest than anything else.

I had been tempted by the HELIX DEPTH BY TIMEX (Ebay offers), until I read that it measures dive time in mins and not seconds. Any advice re. models that would offer depth from 1m and dive time in seconds of previous dive?

Cheers.

I had the Helix dive watch by Timex early on. Found it on eBay for cheap...Probably been out of stores for years. Anyway, I just wanted to say that it worked. But I can't say how accurate the depth gauge was...Lost it before I could compare it with a better watch like a Suunto.

Try the Swatch Fun Scuba. I used one before I got a D3 and it works well for what you want.
