Hi
I'm an ex. finswimmer who stopped competing 16 years ago...
I still swim allot and sometimes i bring my old sprintfin for good old times.
My technique is still there but not the raw strength in my back and abs, required for a good 100m sprint.
To be honest, i prefer freediving these days. So i´m thinking about maybe buying a new Glidefin or something like it. Just for recreational freediving and some longdistance sets to strengthen my back and stomachmuscles.
My problem is choosing the right one.
When i was young we used to peel of a few layers of fibre to make stiff fins softer... but i prefer to just keep my sprintfin as it is.
Are there any finswimmers here who has crossed over to freedivermonos?
Is the angeled footpocket overrated for an ex. finswimmer? Or is it a blessing, maybe?
What is your experience with the freediverpockets compared to the straight finswimmerpockets?
