Hi everyone,

Just looking at the [ame="http://forums.deeperblue.net/forumdisplay.php?f=47"]Marketplace[/ame] section of the forums and was wondering if people would be interested in the following:
  • An expansion of the system into a proper classified / auction style system (think eBay)
  • A feedback system on people who buy or sell?
  • Would people be interested in paying a small amount for such a feature (e.g. $2.50 to post a classified for a week, $5 for a month, etc...)?
Just interested to hear people's opinions.

I think it's a good idea but depends on potential volume of sales to make it worthwhile. Do a lot of people post stuff for sale currently?

Stephan,

I would be all over that!!! I have so much gear to sell and it will be great to offer it up to my DB brethren at cheap prices. For instance, I have about 20 scuba tanks and about 20 wetsuits that I rarely or never use. These would be best offered up to those who may put them to good use.

:)

Seems like a good idea to me, but as has been said previously, it depends on how many people would use it to make it worth while.

The best idea is definately the feedback system for buyers and sellers, gives both parties peace of mind with the person that they are dealing with.

Overall i think that the principle idea of a specialist auction site dealing with db interests is great, and also a good way to help fund this great site.

Yes, much better. I like it. Note to Papa, call it cBay . . . after serious consultation with your solicitor!
