I understand how everything works with training, i train 3 times a week at the pool but seldom get depth at this time of year, at the pool i usually do wet tables and my current max DNF is just over 50 meters, nearing 60. Yes, i train with my father and my dive buddy Jesse who are keen spearo's and i never dive alone, i understand the risks of SWB and how it works. I do walking apnea everyday, 2:30 CO2 static tables everyday and my max static is 4.00 minutes. I have, only recently, discovered the freedom of no fins at depth, i have been a spear fisherman for most of my life but only in the last year decided to take my skills to the next level, i trained at the pool with no fins to get used to the high bloodstream CO2 and have improved drastically since then. I was out at my favorite dive spot when my good friend Jesse and I removed our fins for a laugh, only to inspire me to take up CNF, not just DNF and CWT. Hope this ups my level of experience, sorry i should have been more clear. ( max CWT is 100 ft) CheersLewis,
You say you want to improve in CNF...so that's one depth discipline...I want to ask how you are faring at the other Depth Disciplines and in your Pool Disciplines...or are you focused only on CNF? You also say only 50', so I am jumping to some conclusions here...and I apologize in advance...are you diving with a partner? Are you certified or formally trained? Have you looked at some of the many videos, books, articles and courses that can help you with a) breathing b) technique c) training overall d) equalizing?
You say that CO2 is the issue...so try training at shallow depths, on dry-land, walking and laying down static holds, CO2 Tables, CO2 Tables, do the tables...I hope that all of it comes together so that you can easily hit your target depth...and I look forward to reading of your successes!
