New Year Greetings Everyone!
Trying to find training tables application for an Android powered cell phone.
Generally, I could never really bring myself to use them with a stopwatch or a computer especially with my three kids running around but can see myself giving them a try during those random, spare moments taking advantage of the phone and a more "remote" location.
Anyone aware if such software is available?
Thinking of using it mostly for improving my underwater hockey game in the winter season and spearfishing bottom times once the spring comes.
Would appreciate any leads.

Go to the Android market and do a search for "Static Apnea Trainer." I use the first one on the list and am very happy with it.

"Breath Holding Trainer" is the only program that shows up. 99 cents to buy. Is that the correct one?

I kinda don't think so because nyspear mentions using the first one that shows up. There's no list... Also in the reviews for Breath Holding Trainer, in one of the reviews, somebody writes that:

Static apnea trainer is better.

The search continues.... Why do the iphone guys have the coolest static training app? :head

Allright... I figured it out. Apparently Static Apnea Trainer did exist but it's been removed.

If anybody knows how to send me that app, that would be awesome.

PM me.

Paul,
I use Static Apnea Trainer version 1.3. I'm not sure why it's not there anymore, but in the "about" section within the app on my phone, it says:

"Static Apnea Trainer - by Aled Thomas, contact static@aledthomas.com"

It's worth a try to send an email to the author. I really like the app. The only shortcoming in the app is the inability to repeat the final hold - i.e. you have to decrease rest on CO2 tables and increase breath hold time on O2 tables.

Good luck,
Bobby

Thanks NYSpear. I emailed the email address.

I also looked around on my phone to see if there was an easy way to email apps to others but could not figure out a way to do so.

Fingers crossed.

let us know how you get on Blesum because I'd like a decent Andoird app too.

Got a response:

Oh I hadn't noticed, ill check it. its probably Google changing they're terms or something.

Hopefully this gets figured out and it comes back online.

I can't find it, all the sites say its been taken off the market. Can one of you please extract the software from there phone ? there are instructions on this link:
How Can I Rip .Apk Files From Games/Apps? - Android Forums

but this one sums it up pretty good:

Just downloaded EStorng File Manager and checked that it does the same thing as Astro: Backup of a single X.apk to a default folder \sdcardbackupsapps.

Only difference is that EStrong names the apk with the app original name and version (something like X_1.5.apk), while Astro names it like com.X.android-1.apk.

Thanks ! i don't know why i couldn't find it in the market ... and on some sites it said that the app was removed !

I like 'Apnea tables' from mylix software. I have tried a few and it works the best for me. It has a verbal countdown to the hold and is silent until the end of the hold.
