Question Co2 Tolerance

Thank you to all who see this, and thx for responding I would just like to know is training your body to build Co2 tolerance worth it? What I'm trying to say is if I were to train for weeks/years and it all disappears in a short while, it wouldn't be worth it in the long run. Is building co2 tolerance a permanent effect on your body/mind or will it disappear after a while?

Unfortunately, it's like any health and fitness or anything in life for that matter. It only lasts for as long as you keep putting energy into it.
Entropy is a universal law and everything is ultimately subject to deterioration. Nothing lasts forever my friend! We're all doomed!!

If you want to have more comfortable and longer breath holds, training your C02 tolerance will be necessary. In my years of teaching it does not just disappear because you miss one training session or in your words "short while". However you are right it can diminish after time without training. It is hard to say exactly how long without training it takes for it to diminish. In my personal experience watching students stop training for long periods of time and then return to train even in 6 months later there is a very minimal difference in there CO2 tolerance.
