Fondi comes up with the goods again!

Despite never being able to spell "Coelacanth" until seeing your post, I have been a fan of them since childhood (just after the Renaissance).

If you ask them nicely they might send you a free one to try out and review for DB?

I can swear by the Deep Release T-Shirt (a true classic) and the Coelacanth Keychain (of which I have none - because I keep giving them away)
Somebody needs to go freedive with these bad-boys.

this is a little spooky Fondi, but look what I ordered yesterday:

Description

Unit price
Qty
Amount
FOREIGN: CRM "Deep Release" T-shirt
Item# , Size: M , Color: White
$20.00 USD
1
$20.00 USD

says they have found 'em in only 17m of water, so if we want for freedive for them we'll either have to learn Herb's depths, or be very patient..

I need to order myself another one - mine wore out ages ago. Wouldn't that be a blast!! Freediving with Coelacanths!!

I would never do Sushi, only Sashimi, real thin with a good soy and that really fresh wasabi, the one that cleans up the sinuses.

One of the biggest problems would be depth. I am thinking we should figure out how to use the "deep release" kits in reverse. To fools and PETA that may sound like fishing for them, but we could brush that off as being nonsense, and state that we were actually doing scientific research. Now, if any ended up in a Tokyo deli, or a LA Airport Sushi lounge, I would have to pretend I didn't know you anymore...

Of course, we'd be exploiting them for their own good...
I bet you could get millions for a plate of Coelacanth Sashimi.

{looks around nervously}

you really should check this out

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-lNHIIPisc]YouTube - The Coelacanth Flip Flop[/ame]

I appreciate the fact that whilst it would have been easy to do a simple 2 minute number, these geniuses went well over 4 on this masterpiece.

ENJOY

and in this corner, the contender:

A (tasty) freshwater air breathing fossil fish from the Amazon... up to 2m long.

That coelecanth sure has a funny gait.

I had one of these in a tank with a Koi and an Oscar. They were all ate Koi pellets. My daughter - who was five at the time - calmly called it 'the bite fish' because it would leap out of the water and draw blood when she fed it.

They are beautiful. But you won't ever catch me in the freakin' amazon!!

That youtube video just made my day!

"Iiiiiiiii wanna be a Coelacanth..." da da da...

Django Bates meets Ice-T and hangs out with Q jones type of music...

retro is the new future! I'm ordering up a couple of pairs of little Nikes and hanging around on the beaches of Madagascar for the next 10 years. when those puppies walk on out of the water I'm going to be ready for them...
