Spring weather often brings a few days of rough seas then a day or so of calm followed by more rough weather. This can be frustrating as the sea never gets time to clear. This year seems to be different. The visibility is clearing enough in 24 hours to allow spearfishing. To me this means 1 to 2 metres plus of vis.
I'm putting this down to the unusually cold winter killing off some of the plankton so that only silt has to settle out to clear the vis.
What does anyone else think? Anyone noticed this effect?
