Hi folks,

We're planning for DEMA 2005 attendance by DeeperBlue.net at the moment and are looking for volunteers to help.

For those who don't know DEMA is one of the biggest trade diving shows and is going back to Las Vegas this year!!

We're working with DEMA and the PR company to do on-location reporting. As such I need people to help cover the whole show. Most of the work will be talking to people, taking photos and then doing short write-ups. This is too hard but obviously the more people we have the easier it will be.

Show Details
URL: http://www.demashow.com
Dates: 4-7 October 2005
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada (USA) Convention Centre

If you attend all entry costs will be paid for, we have block bookings of hotel rooms at the Hilton and I will take everyone out for drinks and dinner on at least one night. Not to mention the top DeeperBlue.net polo shirts everyone gets to wear and the opporunity to network with top people in the Diving industry.

This is the industry show to be at and we did a significant amount of business and networking last year so I want a decent attendance from us if possible. We're concentrating on our Scuba and FreeDiving side of things but Tech does feature heavily at the show.

I'll do anything to help, man. If there's a spot, I'll take it...I'll be going there anyway.

I'd like to be in charge of the Deeperblue.debt Blackjack table.

I'll ge giving a presentation on the dangers playing without a buddy, holding too long, and shallow-cocktail blackout.

I'm really in it for the shirt, though.

sink,

Be careful though - i'm a keen blackjack and poker player. It's the way i'm intending to fund the trip.

Seriously though, the more people that come, the cheaper it will be for everyone as people can share rooms, share cabs together, etc...

iiam seriously thinking about it... as long i can share a room with someone good looking ;)

Well crap. That rules ME out.

Being fat, old and bald, it's probably a good thing I won't be able to get away. And I'm only six hours from Vegas, too. Blast!

Baaahh! Nonsense! Besides, I heard the slight magnification of water only adds pounds.

Accomodation wise we have rooms booked at the host hotel - the Las Vegas Hilton - and will be offering rooms at a discounted rate. The rooms sleep 3 comfortably but one year we did manage to get 4 people into one room.

We will be helping to fund the rooms (probably at 50%) so the average cost for 5 nights will be around 100 USD.

Wowee! 100$ for 5 nights?

That's what you call the "Double-0-Whelan High Roller Package".

If all Forum members would like to send only 1 dollar each to the "" Send Crusty To Vegas Appeal" i should be able to make it.
All donations would be Tax deductable.
I wont need any accomodation as i do not plan to sleep and will eat the Scraps thrown to me by the Deeper blue hierarchy.
Then i can finally pay homage to the Dead Kennedys and there very inspirational version of Elvises Viva Las Vegas.''coke up my nose to dry away the snot''
Any left over money will be used for my nose reconstruction when i get home.
Forget the Starving Kids Please send your money urgently as this is a very worthy cause.
Think of it as developing my edudacion in foreign customs

Send Money Now c/o Deeper blue send crusty appeal

Crusty, don't you know before any type of charity, you need to build a glue'n'glittered money chart of how much you need and how much you earn...like the telethons do. In fact, a telethon isn't a bad idea. You'll just need to come up with an couple of acts or possibly a secondary cause. How much is a ticket to the states nowadays?

Sinky you really are an Ideas Man, a glittering money chart why didnt i think of that.
Would you like to be my PR man .
I was thinking of screening ''Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas'' as the theme movie for the Trip, and could get a couple of old has been bands who will do anything to get back on T.V. ( Guns + Roses )
The Seconday Cause will be the '' Post Crustys Bail Fund '' to help Crusty and Sinky get out of Jail ( then flee the Country) for Soliciting an under cover female Cop to do something weird with Michael Jacksons Monkey.
I will need about 5000.00, ( remember thats only 1.00 per member ) Air fare about 2500.00 and the rest to help rase Deeper Blues Profile in Vegas.

Come on Folks dig deep for a Worthy Cause

Crusty

I was going to send a donation to help the children fund, but heck this is a far greater cause.
Have you thought of going on "This Day Tonight," they love a good sob story, I'm sure the donations will come flooding in.
