Time to renew insurance and as normal having problems with companies not covering watersports equipment and/or limiting the contents of garage to £2000.

You may or not want to check your policy! Even the big names (halifax) have watersports equipment excluded in the terms and conditions (theft).

Now my spearfishing kit doesn,t add up to £2000 but chuck a yak in and a couple of surfboards and the kites and its more than that.

Anybody found a good policy? If I had Ipads, MP3 players and gadgets they would love to cover them even though they are high risk but watersports seem to cause a lot of these companies an issue! WHY?!

Hi guys, is there actually an insurance that is available for freediving instructors who are not scuba instructors?

Try divemaster that Stephan posted above, they used to cover BFA (and probably still do) so someone in there must know about freediving.

By the way, depends what you need insurance for really but if you are a BFA member you should be covered already for some activities.

Great, thanks - so you're saying this one could possibly be used as a professional insurance and as a general health insurance for non-dive related issues too?

For sure what you get with the BFA membership won't of course cover you for non-diving related issues but if you enquire with divemaster maybe they can do something about general...
