Cookie cutter shark attack on humans

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Interesting read only conclusion people are far to often stuck on what if this happens what if that happens. Kinda at a lose are people actually concerned about being bitten by a 1-2 foot shark that is relativaly rare just seems like propoganda.

Ha ha a puppy that takes home a handful of you as a souvenir!

I don't want to be bitten by one and I've seen plenty of fish that have, but one attack on a live human ever? Not exactly quaking in my booties.

You do realise that with the way the world works, you'll be cookie victim two now that you have said that!!

How do you explain it to your kids though. "Ha ha you got bitten by a WHAT?!"

It's only one person, so really only of scientific interest, and if anyone harbours ill-will towards small sharks because of it, then you need to get a life.

That said, it was the 'Mellon ball scoops of flesh' bit that made my toes curl.

'Mellon ball scoops of flesh'

 Is that anything related to testicles?

No, seriously, I don't understand what mellon ball scoops of flesh means: is that anything related to biting off someone's testicles? Like No shakin', no chewing, no tenderizin', swallow them whole, down they go?

They're making fun of a typo. 'Melon' is the fruit. 'Mellon' is a famous (at least in the U.S.) family. Hence 'Mellon balls' would indeed refer to testicles.
