You might be interested to know that CCC are running the first ever week long conservation education liveaboard dive trip to the Red Sea from the 6-13th of May, 2005.
We are all really excited about this new trip and hope you are too!
We are currently working on tailoring the route to our needs as a group but the plan is to go North from Hurghada as far as the Ras Mohammed National Park where the diving is absolutely beautiful.
The week will include 3 dives a day on reefs and wrecks, interspersed with lectures given by one of our senior marine biologists.
These sessions will include fascinating topics such as coral reef ecology and biology, species ID, as well as some sessions on threats to coral reefs, responsible diving practices and conservation action plans for reefs.
The data collected from dives on indicator species will be fed into the new Earthdive database (for more information see their website at www.earthdive.com) which aims to develop a picture of the state of the worlds reefs through information provided by recreational divers.
We will also be offering a discounted Nitrox course which will run on two days of this action-packed week.
Attached to this message is a document which includes more detailed information about the trip and a booking form should you be interested. Please feel free to forward this email on to friends, dive clubs, colleagues. We can cater to groups.
Happy New Year from us all at Coral Cay!
