not quite dive related, but pretty wild pics none the less, figured they were worth a post.

"From a guy out in Martin, S.D. Pictures taken from his kitchen
onto his deck. The cat was watching his little kids playing on the
kitchen floor. "

How cool, closest Ive ever come to something like this was when we were kids camping with our parents and freinds on a farm while they were all sleeping in tents or in the back of pickups we were on matresses outside, Woke up the next morning with caracal track all around the matresses, you could easily make out where it stopped and smelled at the head of each matress :)

S**t wouldn’t want one of those looking at my kids with the old Homer Simpson dribble coming out the side of its mouth.

The poor thing. Must have been really hungry. Couldn't the guy let him have at least one of his kids?

Man! You wouldn't dare feed that thing. It would be like feeding a stray cat. You would never get rid of it. You wouldn't stand a chance against a cat like that.

I have seen a mountain lion almost that size when I was deer hunting a few years ago. I was sitting in a hunting stand waiting at dawn for a deer to step out on to the trail. When this cat did, he was about 300 yards away and I thought it was a german shepard that someone had let out. He walked straight to me. When it got within a hundred yards, I saw him lift his tail and then realized what it was. He continued towards me and stopped about 40 yards away at a deer feeder I had and sniffed around it. He then walked and crouched down in some tall grass about 10 yards away from the feeder. I assume he was waiting to ambush something. I never saw him get and leave. My attention was peaked for the next few hours. I made all kinda of racket and fired my rife before climbing out of the stand, but it was already gone.

I sure the bobcats made out like bandits. There was always a flurry of bird pecking on the ground underneath the feeder. There was also always a fresh pile of feathers from an eaten bird as well. I wouldn't want to mess with those bobcats either.

man thats scary sh$%$$&^T, my first thought would be to install a fence or remain indoors :)

My first thought would be to decide which room I was going to put him in after I had him stuffed? ;)

Haven't there been a few mountain bikers killed in the past couple years by these things in California?
