Coverage of the 30m SETT Tank Course

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
from the article... "As we immerse our faces in the water, our heartbeat slows and our blood pressure drops."

drops? it normally increases.

good article. it is a lot of fun diving in there.

Alun,

As you know - it is notoriously hard to get journalists to be 100% accurate. Things mis-remembered or explained in a manner that is felt to be easier to understand for the general public. We have no real way of controlling that as we do not get editorial control of third party journalists!

C'est La Vie!

yeah- just thought i'd point that out in case anyone was confused by it.

i think the photos alone should make people want to attend!

good point... but if i honestly remembered anything that was said to me two weeks after my first freediving or scuba course... i would be lucky! when you reteach people or train them further its always a case of "i never did that", i dont remember being taught that.. etc

Great coverage Stephan!

Stephan,

Do you know when or if any coverage will appear in The Guardian ref: the Tanya Streeter SETT course?

I believe the article is due to appear in the Weekend Telegraph soon. The article was submitted to the editor but the journalist hasn't heard back on when it will go live.

Another article is due out in the September issue of the Outdoor Enthusiast Magazine and we saw a reprint of the Evening Standard article in the Scotsman recently.

Just to let everyone know that there should be a feature article on Tanya Streeter teaching at the 30m SETT back in June with DeeperBlue.net this Saturday in the Daily Telegraph.

If you are in the UK - head out to the newsagents and pick up a copy.

30 meters, 34 degrees, cristal clear water.... One day I'll take a course at that tank! :hmm
