Among the many things I do, I am also a certified CPR instructor for the American Heart Association. I would be willing to give CPR/AED (automated external Defibrillator) class(es) to any interested freedivers & Spearos who are in the Wisconsin area. The AHA has instituted new procedures within the last 6 months that not everyone may be aware of. The date and place along with other details can be worked out later, depending on who may be interested in getting this type of training which I think is something every freediver/spearo should know. I'm just throwing out this idea, let me know what you think about it.
Thanks,

Brian

I think that it would be a good Idea, and I totally agree that every spero/diver should know the basics in saftey. Im a life guard (of 4 years) and If you wan't additional help please let me know!:)

Just a thought, even if it's impossible to get together as a bunch of freedivers from different cities in the Wisconsin area, I would still highly recommend that everyone involved in the sport of freediving take a class locally and get certified in CPR. This is just my $0.02 worth.

I agree. Possibly the best thing to do would be to schedule a class during one of the events that will get the most attendees...perhaps the July Freedive-A-Palooza? As long as it did not require too much time...we could possibly do it in the evening...after it is dark around the camp fire or something...Just a thought.

that sounds like a good plan Pinggene, I could bring my red cross waterfront/water saftey manual. We could just give everyone a synopsis and show a few deep water saftey proceadures. idk
