Cressi Apach carbon, FLOATS!!!

hey you gurus, i had an apache 100 carbon gun that i got from a friend, never used and thn passed it on to my buddy. the gun is a cressi APACHE carbon 100 with integrated rail... the gun is very buoyant, it floats on the surface with spear and all... we tried addind some lead to the muzzle (maybe 10 or 20 gms) and it still floats!, anyone had similar experience?? any advice?
now i guess i know why cressi stopped making carbon
 
rofl ive never used that particular gun, however have heard of a similar problem on an old beauchat gun. The guy who owned it eventually drilled a small hole into the barell... which is a little bit drastic perhaps, however it sorted the problem of boyancy right out... it even was a little heavy at the muzzle end, so we lashed on a wine bottle cork either side of the muzzle, to balance it out.

I wouldnt rush into doing the same thing just yet, as im sure there are probably others on here that will have a far far far better solution to the problem than me .

Add more lead
You can unscrew the muzzle and put it inside the tube to keep the good looks of the gun. Or you can just use stick-on lead that is usually put to balance car tires.
It's definetly better to have a gun tha floats than one that sinks
