I have heard that this product is discontinued. Anyone has some more news?

This has been denied by Cressi.

There has been some confusion with different suppliers.

What I have heard from one supplier is that Cressi make the guns in series. For example Comanche 110 might be done twice a year. If they run out of the guns, you have to wait until they do the next series.

Octopus, the 110 is indeed very hard to find these days at online shops. I checked some of the most popular and the only one that seems to have it in stock is Nautica Mancini, a very popular shop many people buy from. Here's the link:
Fucile arbalete CRESSI Comanche 110 [049-0208] - 86.00*EUR : Nautica Mancini, Vendita ingrosso e dettaglio prodotti nautica, pesca, sub
If you have no luck with this one, send a mail in english (in simple words english) to this other shop info@acquasport.com and ask availablity. Shop owner is Marco Bardi's sister (Silvia), she will reply.

Marco Bardi? That is famous spearo if I am not wrong?

Apparently Cressi is making one Comanche 110 just for me.
They responded proactively to scubastore.com (deeperblue shop) request.
Beat that for customer care. :D

Thanks spago, much appreciated.

Sorry, cannot add any more reputation points...will revisit when I am allowed to do that.

Octopus,

Where are you hunting with your 110.
Sounds like a LOT of gun.

I love the Comanche guns, Have had 2. The annoying thing I found was that they don't take standard rubbers.. (Is there a way around this?)

I was thinking of picking up another to permanently mount a camera and flash light as I don't want to drill my other guns.

Hey pav the comanche is a fantastic gun and easy to mount a camera onto. I made an F shaped bracket that fits under the gun , no need to drill holes.

I use Comanche 110 in clear waters, like Adriatic sea. I also like to have it when I go for my holidays.

The reason I went for 110 is that I have had Comanche 75 for some time now. Most parts are interchangable between the two models.

I use my 75 in British waters predominantly. I think it is value for money. I find it precise, roubust, light and yet simple (unlike Geronimo that looks a bit too clever for me). Not to forget reliable.

As for bands, I buy Cressi made ones.
Depending on circumstances, I can double up the bands on both 75 and 110.

What camera do you use with your gun? I have Olympus SP560, but this one is far too big to carry around with the speargun.

Vivitar.

6MP waterproof to 10m.
I picked mine up on ebay about a year ago for £50.

I'll be interested to see this bracket scottwilson, although I know the Hero cam is light and compact. I've been trying to think of bracket ideas that don't require drilling of the gun or leaving a permanent bracket on the gun.

You all know already, but repeating might help the newbies:
never, never try to screw Omer bands into Cressi muzzles.
The threads are different, non compatible. You may succed to screw them in if you try hard with brute force, but you will certainly damage the muzzle and, maybe, after time, the Omer bands will be impossible to take away when you'll have to replace them.
Cressi bands BTW are really good: the Cressi S45 Plus are a good compromise of power (lotsa power) and balance, while the Cressi G20 are brute force if you need a big bang.

What would you recommend to upgrade my stock rubbers on my cressi comanche 90. the stock rubber are on there way out so need changing.

Scott the Cressi S45 are very good bands. They're a bit hard to load for being only 17millimeters thick, but when you shoot they give back all the energy in a very effective way. Strangely, the G20 who are thicker seem they're made with a slightly softer rubber. I'm happy with it the S45 now (but my Comanche is only a 60: I sold the 75, where I had G20).
