Just finished 1st week with this fin, seems great does what its intended to do, did a 2 mile open water swim in calm conditions and have to say it was the easiest 2 mile swim ever. Just kept telling myself to slow down and lengthen the kick. These fins work great on the surface and did several hours of shallow dives to 20 meters, again this fin worked great, makes the decent effortless. It seems the slower your kick the faster they propel you.

I have a pair of 3000's too. How do you kick with your feet? Do you do use a scissor kick or dolphin kick? I've found that when i am freediving dolphin kicking seems better for ascending and scissor kicking is better for surface swimming.

I do the same, also dolphin kick when filming. Or short sprints 50 yards or so, I dolphin kick. I will have to take some footage of (sprints) and see what the fins are doing during maximum push.

I have a pair of these and love them. I thought they were quite powerful until I started swimming with a Nemo monofin, now when I switch back to the Gara fins they feel really easy. Still quite fast though! They are very relaxing for me to swim in; makes me feel like I could go all day-which is, I suppose, what they are designed for.

How do you guys store your fins? if i store the at a slightly bent angle, the fins will adopt a curve.

I tend to keep them as close to me as possible so I use them as often as I can. So they are usually in the back of my truck, they are tools and are meant to be used. If it breaks you get a new one this was part of why I got the fin I got , they last a long time and are resonable in price.
