Anyone have a Cressi Geronimo gun? http://www.bluewaterhunter.com/shops...igeronimo.html

If so what do you think about them?

I was looking at the handle/trig. mech for another enclosed track euro and liked them alot- the handle fits nice and the skinny trigger slot puts your line of sight right up on the shaft...or so it seems.

Any comments/review greatly appreciated.

When I saw it at the local shop I was very tempted to buy it (it was a 105 centimeters). Looks very well built and has a solid, sturdy look (a more sturdy look than the previous Cressi bandguns). The barrel must be very well balanced especially in longer sizes. Same barrel shape as the old Omer Master Comp, with the mass concetrated in the front section, a half track and a slimmer round section in the rear. Must be an excellent gun for aspetto.

The handle is plastic, but tough plastic. As I felt it, it was more solid than it looks from picures. The grip is adjustable to change shape and girth according to your hand size, by simple screwing two pins.
The trigger mech (that will take any euro shaft from 6 to 7 millimeters) is adjustable too. You move a cursor to change the run and the sensitivity of the trigger, according to band pull, shaft caliber and personal preference. The finger that pulls the trigger is very close to the shaft, making the aiming very intuitive.

Thx spago1 my impressions where similiar, ordered it today...new euro enclosed track on the way, but this one will be different, much different.:inlove

got the handle, saweeet....already looking like its gonna be a labor of love to fit it (well what did I expect, it is a female fitting:chatup) another little "un-forseeable" are the little wing line aligners, and the line release seems way to short to accomodate one wrap of 400# mono, so its looking like it'll be 200# (momoi-more #'s for diam.- or dyneema) any suggestions?

OK she's finito!

Here are some specs:

Gun is 115cm (45")tip -butt
2.5cm (1") high, and tapers from 2cm (3/4") to 4cm (1 3/4")
band to first fin 90cm (36") -5/8 20"
band to second fin 100cm (39") -5/16 21"
made this gun with a basswood ,cumaru core, and padauk
its triad shaped (like the other build), with a graphite poured enclosed track, CF muzzle and built in line retainer/shark pic

hmmm, sounds interesting. I didn't know the Gerry's handle was female: I thought it was male same as the Comanche's.
So you mean female that you stick the barrell into the handle? I need this info cause I hava a gun that I must rebuild (it has cracks in the handle and in the carbon/kevlar barrel: I need to cut the barrel and replace the handle).

...any pics of your creation? Any hope we can see some pics, or did you bargain your camera for dope? rofl

Yep its a girl, handle fits into pipe then its secured with screw (or pins) uncertain as neither was supplied with handle (the marlin does supply screws), I made a unique internal anchor, that did away with any screws showing on the outside (you know spago as an industrial designer I'm all about esthetics) less is more, right?:martial

Congrats for your gun and i have question when i opend comanche gun i found that there are O-rings fixed between muzzle and barrel as well as handle and barrel when you are fixing the handle to your wood gun are you placing O-ring between barrel and handle?

indeed, keep in mind these handles are for "pipe" guns-hollow- the o-rings prevent the water from entering. In my build the gun is "solid" so the o-rings have no significant function.
