Hello there,

I just bought a pair of "old" brand new Cressi Rondine Gara. I got it from a guy at my city, who had a diving store years ago, so he has some old unused equipment in his house.

I did some research about those fins and I couldn't find much information. The only sutff that I found out was some topics on an Italian forum. All them were speaking great things about it.

Someone has some info or impressions to share about this fins?

I will test them soon and I'll share my impressions here.

Cheers.

I had a pair of those. VERY nice in most ways. My first longfins, got me out of jetfins for life. One thing, even the stiffest blades were very soft, great efficiency, but the first hard kick or two were "Empty", little acceleration. Very durable, but the softness finally lead to cracking the blade at the end of the rails. It took years of hard use with scuba and freediving, but eventually most people I knew that used them hard had the same problem.

cdavis, I have no idea how old is this one, but probably it's from the 80's. I guess it were lost for many year until that store here my city had bought an amount of them, after that the store went bankrupt and the former owner still have 5 or 6 pair of them, brand new.

I tested the fins 2 times, during pool training, the foot pockets are great, very comfortable! The blades are OK for me, they are efficient and soft, but it could be better. I hope they last for some years.
