I'm shortening my cressi SL 100 down to about an 85.

I need to cut down the inner barrel and rethread the end.

I bought an M18 die with a 1mm pitch but my measuring was out, and it didn't fit the existing threads.

Can anyone @tromic perhaps? Tell me with 100 per cent certainty what the thread specifications are of the front end of the inner barrel please? Thanks.

I'm fairly sure it's been shared here before. Possibly by Jegwan... I'll look through my notes when I get back to my laptop in a wee bit

Yeah I thought it had too, I think there's a diagram somewhere on here, I just couldn't find it. Cheers for looking

Thanks Pete, I think there's a typo on that page for the cressi though, it says M16 X 1.25, my verniers make it an M18

Yeah, M18x1.25. If you have a Mares or Salvimar muzzle they should be compatible. Seac is the odd one of the usual Italian suspects by being M18x1.5.
Just count 10 threads and measure the distance. It will be easy to tell the difference between 10, 12.5mm or 15mm.
