Cressi-Sub Edy Dive Comp... anyone used it?

Hey all..

Im in between either this or the Suunto D3.. What do u think?

It looks very interesting - a lot of similar features as the D3 but the unit looks quite slick, the D3's tend to look a bit plastic'y like a toy watch. Probably a bit expensive for what it does though, the D3 is much cheaper. Good to have an alternative on the market though. Has it been out for long?

Nice piece! However, it is not a competitor of D3, but rather of Suunto Mosquito / D6, and Mares Nemo. All these, unlike D3, are multi-mode decompression computers for air/Nitrox/freediving. And they are also in the same price category. So if you are occasional scuba diver, you'll be better served by one of the multi-mode devices - unless you have money enough to buy two computers, in which case you might better invest the money into the F1 freediving computer from Eric Fattah which is simply another class.

Personally, I use Suunto Mosquito (just because the mentioned reason of occasional scuba diving), but would be interested in a side-by-side comparison of the freediving features of these Cressi, Suunto, and Mares computers and the PC software that comes with them.
