I have a superocchio and for my face, it has just about the lowest volume of anything I have tried - great for line diving and recreational diving.

I want to try out an Omer Abyss, as it is essentially the same shape, but was hoping that it uses Omer's very soft silicone and will compress even easier then the Cressi.

Can anyone compare the masks themselves, in terms of size? I wouldn't mind if it was a bit smaller than the Cressi, as low volume and high compressability are a good combo!

well i was having the superocchio and i trade her for minima because she didnt feet to my face better do agood mesure in the clossest store and as a mask she great low volume and big view .

My first mask was a superocchio - soon after I switched to the micromask and haven't looked back. Have you tried it?

I have. I use the micromask For UWH and UWR, as it has much better peripheral vision. The skirt is much firmer and it is smaller, resulting in less compressibility at depth. The micromask also has more open volume when on my face. It is not my fav for depth.

I prefer the superocchio for depth, where peripheral vision is less of a concern.

I'm just getting greedy to see if the similar Mares or Omer ones would be even better / softer or slightly smaller overall.

The minima to me had a cheap strap and many people have problems with the seal at depth.

I know the Aquasphere Spheras are good for compressibility, but the fragility and distorted vision of them leaves something to be desired.

I'm basically looking for the perfect glass-lens mask for my face for depth.

Yes true - the thing i didn't like about the superocchio is the limited range of vision. If the sphera fits your face, it might not be such a bad option. True you have to change them a bit more often but then again they are cheaper. The distortion is something you'll get used to and it does have amazing range of vision.

My problem with the sphera is that it starts leaking around 10m or so because I have a narrow face and it doesn't seal perfectly so I use it only for pool. The minima is supposed to be good but haven't tried it...
