Have you ever freedive with out dive socks?

My foot size is 9 and 9 1/2 and I got the 10-11s and they were a little too lose with the 3 mm socks( they could easyly slip off with no effort) and sent them back for the size 8-9 they feel awesome barefoot but, with the 3mm sock it is snug and the heel slips out (not enough rubber to cover the heel with sock on)

I am kinda thinking seeing how I am more into pool diving and it will be a few yrs before I will be able to move to the ocean that they will work....just such a good deal hard to give it up .....just can't belive how hard it is to fit fins. I cant find much online other than they say once you try the carbon fiber one you will never go back to the plastic esp. if you get the good ones that you can remove the blades.

I am wondering if is should send them back and focus on my Dynamic with out fins swimming and when I am ready for fins I hope to will be in a place to try them on and fit them right for 3 or 5 mil socks.

Any thoughts???

keep those for now and the 3mm socks and get some "fin keepers" in a couple of different sizes... will make all the difference in the world!

Before I went to carbon fins I used the Gara 2000s. I still use them on occasion. I have the same size foot and fins as you, and experienced the exact problem you're describing when trying to use socks. The fin keepers will work, but they were a pain to use, at least for me. If you're primarily pool swimming, I would just keep the fins and use them without socks. Use the fin keepers when diving in the ocean.

I have 9-91/2 shoe and ordered 8-9 on the 3000ld thinking they would be tight enough to wear bearfoot, still to loose, If you cut out the heal of your sock--leave a bit at top of sock-back to act as a strap too keep it in place, it will let the heal sink in a bit more and the bare heal wont slip as much, I end up using the fin keepers anyway though, I ended up using medium fin keepers
