Croatia? Greece? Where sould I go?

Hello!

With some friends we would like to go to practice freediving this summer, but we can't decide between Greece and Croatia!
We would like to see nice things, some depth, and maybe some spearfishing too!
So where are the best places according to your experiences? Some spot to recommend? (We will also nead to rent a boat).

I wasn't to Croatia, but sailed through Greek waters quite a bit. Greek islands are very beautiful, lots of big fish, cristal clear waters, good depths. This is all I remember, apart from ozoo and metaxa and bare tits in any direction.

Hi, Andrew. Can you please let me know where you saw lots of big fish in Greece. I am not asking for GPS coordinates - just name the island. Thank you.

But not quite sure. It could have been Syros or Skyros or Lemnos or Lesbos. Maybe even Myconos, details are fuzzy through the passage of time. Water was clear and I saw fish pretty much every place I have been to. Really depends on how you travel, I was on a sailboat and some places are not on a tourists map.
