Hi,
I'll be on Cyprus from 28th of April until 6th of May, could You confirm if regulations that i found are valid, please?

-I've received info that spearfishing is forbidden in May, so i will have 3 days o hunting. (29-31.04), am I right?
- I do not need any licence for spearfishing without scuba gear.
- I need to have buoy.

Thank You in advance!

PS: Do You know any good spots in Coral Bay near Paphos? I will not have a RIB.

Also,

- you can’t spearfish anywhere near where people are swimming. I think 200m is the limit. This rule also applies to harbours and anchored ships.

- no spearfishing nighttime. (sunset -> sunrise)

- no using flashlight when spearfishing.

- no scuba spearfishing

Your best bet is to go to the port police and ask them about the rules to get the most up to date ones.
