I have been using mares pneumatic guns since 1987 and have gone through several guns by now, usually because they would loose pressure due to leaks. The easiest thing for me had always been to replace the gun.

Has anyone found a place to order replacement kits for these guns? Maintenance manuals would also prove handy.

So far I haven't had any luck with spare parts and that has been the reason why I have taken the disposable approach towards these guns.

Has anyone done a pressure gauge to get the pressure of the gun? and better yet, has anyone made a regulator to fill the speargun with a scuba tank instead of pumping it 710 times?

The shaft steel is not very good and might break with big fish, but I have had a hard time finding milimetric steel rods to custom make my own shafts. Has anyone used standard shafts?
