Hey All,

It's that time yet again to replace my D3's battery. The last time I did it, I just bought the correct battery at Radio Shack for a couple dollars.

This time, I feel like I'd better replace the O-Ring as well. I know I can mail-order a "battery kit" made by Suunto for upwards of $14, but is there any point? Why not buy the battery @ Radio Shack and the O-Ring from my local scuba superstore?

Thanks!

Dave

I wouldnt risk it to save $5 if that. It will cost you gas to go to the store. Just order it online with oring and battery.

I've purchased the battery alone from a drug store a few times, but now that the D3 is no longer being manufactured, I'm running scared. So last time I purchased the kit, which includes battery, cover, and O-ring, from the local dive shop. I'm not sure I could even get the perfect O-ring by itself anyway.

Considering all the money I spend on the boat and diving in general, I think I'd be penny-wise and pound-foolish to save a few bucks on keeping my D3 going.
