I have just purcahsed a new D3 and the extendable wrist strap looks a bit weak to go spearfishing with.
I have priced the Suunto neoprene strap but the local dive shop wants 100.00 for it thats 1/3 the value of the D3.
Does anyone know of a way to make it stronger/safer or is there another brand strap that will do the job

Try one of those super duper velcro ones mate, you know the type were you thread it through a ring and fold it back on itself? That works for me

waterborne do a good strap - I think they are even Australian. I have one on my Stinger and its much safer than the strap that came with it. Here they cost about £12

I've heard from a person I trust that the suunto neopren strap is crap, it's degradable and unreliable.

By extendable strap you mean a the extra strap that one might connect?
