just got back from Dahab and simply HAVE to go back for longer - just checked the flights and I think I will try and go from 26 Dec to 9 Jan

anyone else around then?

Yes, I plan to be there from Jan 8 to 15. (dates are tentative)

Would love to get the chance to dive with You. I will spend New Years Eve with my folks at home and then I will be crashing out. As soon as I will be up again, I will try to get to Dahab.

BTW: Your gallery displaying Dorothea is absolutely amazing. Makes me want to go there soon.

I wasn't aware I had a gallery of Dorothea - my photos are of the National Diving and Activity Centre in Chepstow - not of Dorothea (I think there are two photos of Dorry on there somewhere but that's all)

I will participate in Lottas "Triple depth"-challenge, and then I'll stay in Dahab for the winter and at least til April. I'll be working for Desert Divers as a divemaster and rockclimbing instructor, and hopefully freedive as much as possible! I'm always up for some training

Leaving on tuesday next week and I'm very exited

Re: Dahab.....constant weight

hello all,

is there a rope set up in dahab available to do constant weight every day, 50meters ? and super close to the accomadation so you can swim from the shore etcc... super user friendly easy no stress set up happening there ????

rope set up in dahab

Its not permanent , only in competitions etc. but its easy to doit when you are there . Just contact
Lotta Ericson www.lottaericson.com She will fix everything for you...

I am going to be in Dahab from 20.11.2005 to 27.11.2005.
I would like to join some other freedivers in the area.
I am not much of a nuisance...but some photos might end up on Deeperblue.

I'm always up for freediving or training when I'm not working! I'm with Desert Divers in the center of Dahab. Come say hello if you're passing by.

If someone coming here could bring a couple of paradisia noseclips (for a nice price ;-) for me and Fred "turtle" we'd be ever grateful!

@octopus: can't wait for You to come back from that week and tell us what You experienced in Dahab. Please keep us posted!

The pictures from Dory are very inviting and I want to dive there some day.
Are these cliffs going straight into the water? Is it possible to jump from them? I am just curious

It looks like I will be going to dahab the week at the end of february into the beginning of March. I can't wait to meet other freedivers soon. I am counting the days!
