Not top prority.... but does anyone know any good free dive spots in daytona beach? I am going there during my christmas break and want to enjoy the deep blue, instead of green!

I have been to alexander springs... it was really nice, anyother places like that?

Thanks, deepergreen

60 feetish?
I am used to shollow (35feet) stuff because the lakes that i normally dive in gt murky and cold, but I think I would be comftorable with 60 fett.... any suggestions? When I normally go down 35, I have significant bottom time

The vis off of Daytona is usually poor. There is no shorediving. In 60 feet of water there is an area called the culverts that is usually good for spearing flounder. Depending on your experience Blue Springs in Orange City is a fun dive. Keep in mind I do not recommend cavern diving for other than those who are well informed and experienced. Deleon Springs is a fun dive, just avoid the spring/syphon system. I think the cavern starts at about 30-35 feet. All these areas are in Volusia County (Daytona Beach area). Have fun and be safe. I assume you won't be diving alone.

Thanks, no I will have a partner....blue springs is nice, but it's closed this time of the year because of the manatees. Ill check those out! Thanks again!
