Daytona Beach diving

Hey everyone. I'm down here in Daytona and i have been out to some of the wrecks on a local dive boat and now have a chance to go out o my own boat. I know that the vis is not great out there and i was wondering if anyone could tell me What factors involve the vis out there. The wrecks are about 11 miles out and in about 85 feet of water and the main deck of the wreck is at about 60 feet. (don't quote me:))

The viz gets better the further out you go, but if you are limited in range and can only access the inshore stuff the viz is greatly influenced by wave/swell/wind action, and in certain times of the year by cold water upwellings. 10-15' viz is average and 40-50' is stellar but hunting is harder.
