Greetings all, I moved out from CA two years ago, looking to start doing some spearing around here. Was told by local dive shops that nothing to see in water (sand only) untill I hit NC wrecks. So I had avoided going around here. Was hoping maybe there was some good spearing in the area, but I'd be willing to drive a bit as well if need be. Any suggestions on locations or maybe even people in the area that wouldn't mind a tag along?

I've hunted halibut, and done lots of pole spearing, but mostly dove for abs in Northern Cal while I was in college. Have a thick suit from there so up for cold stuff even. ;)
