I reached "plateau" in static.l'm not training it for particular results, only to improve other pool and depth performances. But it's poor PB 3:06 but usually passing 2 min is mission impossible. But I do swim DYN of 2 min.Maybe not with ease, but I do it regularly.
I read everything I can possibly find about static and relaxation, but so far none of the experiments was successful.
I dont have any kind of contractions, just one big mess after 1:45.
If there is anyone here who knows something about non-contraction static stress management,I would be thankfull for any comment.

Could be a mental issue. There are techniques well described in free-diving manuals. They recommend things like checking mentally all muscles, making them relax, day-dreaming about beautiful landcapes, sceneries. Swimming breathold for 2' sounds really great, maybe you're just concentrating on your swimming techniques, forgetting about the wish to breath. I myself have contractions in statics, setting on after 2'30 or 3'. In dynamics or in the ocean I don't feel them - certainly I have contractions but without noting them that much.
