Has anyone experienced any problems with the line release on the Demka handle.

Keep the line/monofil tight with the help of the little bungie that came with the gun and the line release will work well.

Hi,

The line relase needs TENSION... If the line (mono) is slack or without a bunge, the line-relase will not work properly every time... to be on the safe side, when you see 'that' fish - you need a mini bunge attached to your mono (or between your monofilament and reel line) which gives pressure on the metal line relase...:)

I would think on a high price gun like that every thing should work perfect ! Too bad that is an issue.

Hi,

I think all the best about the Demka sperguns. I own two and both are super out of the box...
The materials and ideas are great. The factory setup rocks for the med species (17.5 bands and 6.25 unbreakable shaft). Great for shallow water ambush and pin point accuracy.

For me, that's the best setup for light alu guns - which target small fast fish.

The guns are simple, robust, quiet and accurate.

With most other guns you get some fancy design which lacks quality and has strange band/shaft set-ups...

This line relase 'problem' is probably conected to the strong mechanism which holds for many years...With the bungie cord, you can avoid any unnecessary problems...:D

In the flood of euro alu-guns (omer, cressi, beuchat, imersion, picaso, seac sub, sporasub....) they make a good alternative...
