A few years back, when I held my first freedive-A-Palooza, we had a bunch of DEMO fins sent to us frm Specialfins.
They included their latest assortment of blades in different stiffnesses and colors. We were able to put them into the footpockets of our choice to try them out. I think we had a couple dozen divers that first year trying out the various fins they sent.
After the weekend was over I sent all of the blades to another diver in a differnt part of the country- who got a group of people together to go diving and repeated the whole process.
This went on a few times until Cdavis bought the Kelpies out from under me- just kidding Connor.
Anyways, it looks like Jyri is back with the company and is looking to do it again. Here's part of the email he sent me:
So it would be nice if we could get a list going of divers who would be interested in trying them out. If you get them it's YOUR responsability to pay for shipping to the next group of divers. Jyri is also looking to have them sent to groups of divers so they can try them out and report back to him what they like, or dislike, about them.
It looks like I will get the fins before our Freeze-A-Palooza event this winter- so we'll test them out under the ice for all of you first to make sure they don't crack when it's cold out.
Please respond to this thread what part of the country your in and how many divers you could put together to test them out.
If any of you are scuba divers you'll recognize this as being kind of like the Drysuit Demo's the DUI and Viking put on- since you normally want to try a $2,500 drysuit out before you buy one.

We have on special blade where one side is kevlar and second side is carbon.
Will be great to get some feedback about them.
But, if this idea OK for you then after testing the fins, please send them to another guy in another country.
Will be great if we can fallow the fins and feedback from different places.
