:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

I came accross this web site of an Italian guy manufacturing what appears to be a nice quality gun.........NEVER heard of it before but it looks like it's worth investigating.
G.I.MAN Sub - Dentex Handcrafted Wooden Speargun

Anyone ever tried those guns...or maybe know of someone who did.
I've Talked to several spearos on this forum and no one seems to have any CLUE .........Let's hear some opinions........I think this is a great peace to own.

I have heard they are the dogs gonads :) They certainly look the business with nothing in the design to suggest that the gun would perform any less than perfectly.

it does work nothing less than perfect..... i have a 110 dentex with a reel
it is weightless in water and is very manuverbel as well. and it is a very very pretty piece of work it is not just a gun, it is a piece of art.
it gets my best recomadation......

the only downside is that it hurts in your hart when it get its first scratches..

best wishes martin

Hi Martin:

Thank you so much for your feedback:martial....I really appreciate the pictures too.......Nice Fish.

I use a Rob Allen 100 cm, Carbon Caranx........ and it's extremely accurate, powerful and quite manoeuvrable for it's size.

I've bought several guns...on the expensive side, but still go back to the RA.

I'm used to long shots, relatively speaking, I shoot longer shots than normal....so I depend on 2 important factors, Power of the gun and it's Accuracy.

How would you rate the Dentex in those 2 points in particular?:t

BTW, if you are in to fitness....my company produces protein bars to one of the bigger companies in Denamrk....Maxim-Promax.

Cheers
Ihab

it is very accurate even in long shots i have hit fish even out of sight

power? it is not a tuna/shark gun. but it is way overkill here in denmark. we do not have bigger fish than 15kg up here.
but in egypt it is an other matter. but a thicker or shorter rubber band vil help on that. but try and send a mail to ivan manca he is very nice. he can give you much more answers on that

...As for accuracy, Gimansub is sponsoring a successful team of UW target shooting (very popular winter sport in Italy: shooting fixed targets on a breath hold).
This could mean much or mean nothing, however for your information these guns are used in accuracy competitions, with pretty good results (bronze medal in last year's National championship and many minor competitions won).
Article below is in italian language: I'm just posting the link as an evidence of what I'm saying:

hmmmm....no ill stay away from this thread, or we all know how thats going to end :):)

im trying to help Ihab really :), maybe if we order 2 the price will drop a bit :)

I have a pal and an azimuth, ( I like the pal much better - the azimuth is more expensive), It cost around 400 EU two years ago. Their reel is a junk. I am currently using a RA reel in the azimuth and the new sporasub reel on the pal.

Yeah moseloven was a pain during those couple of months, calling me up day and night because he was excited about getting his hands on the gun and needed to talk to someone about it:t
