depth gauge

Altimeters won't work as depth gauge, unless the watch is made and calibrated for it. In some cases the altitude could be perhaps re-calculated into depth manually, but I'd tell than mostly the watch will simply show an error when immerged, and not a value that could be used. Buy a watch with depth gauge, individual depth gauge, or a diving computer instead.
 
If you take that watch diving, you will permanently destroy the pressure sensor and it will no longer be able to read altitude.
