Hi, I am planning a trip to Dahab in Egypt in early June to do a freediving course with "Desert Divers" . can anyone give me some feedback on what they are like.... I think there is also an Apnea Academy down that way too, are they better? has any one got any recomendations ?:head

Hey there,
I can tell You a bit about that. :)

I'm moving to Dahab in May and will be teaching for the desert divers. I was there last fall and they are genuinely nice and helpful people. A really good environment from what I've seen. (I wouldn't want to work with them otherwise, right?)
I can certify You up to AIDA *** and/or IDIC/Apnea, and if I actually pass the Apnea Academy Instructor course in May, I will also be able to give You an AA-Course if You want me to.
We'll just have to find a good date, as I will be training for and pariticipating at Triple Depth at that time, but I'm quite sure we'll figure something out.

How's that for an all-in-one package? :D

:friday That will be awesome Sanso! will be out there with my wife in first week in june, she is going to do the climbing courses they have ! Ok thats good enough recommendation for me .... see you there ( I may pop a few questions your way about stuff in the near future) good luck with the instructor course.

Last october I dived at Desert Divers, too. I liked especially the atmosphere and helpful people at Desert Divers. Annelie, Seb, Peter and the others are to nice and can give you so much hints.

With Sanso beeing there it will be perfect - I'm sure. :)

And one more thing: AIDA, AA or what ever is not such an important thing. Most important is the person who teach you. And Dahab is an excellent spot do meet these people :)
