Design a logo, win a prize!!

Hi all!!

BennyB and I are part of a club called Brisbane Freedivers. We are about to start a blog on Adreno's website and we need a club logo and banner!

The banners are the ones on the right hand side. "Beuchat, Contour etc etc". And we need one!!

So, if you are a bit handy then put in some submissions, then we'll all have a big ol' DB vote and pick a winner to whom I will post a random gift!

Have you any promotional material at all to give a designer an idea of concepts?

Any particular colour your club uses? Any unique concepts to the area (specific fish, landmark etc)?

Any idea of style? Retro, classic, abstract etc?

You gotta give more of a brief than that

I have an idea for you guys. Can you be a bit more specific about design requirements?
Size of logo, banner, intended use (web, print), specific typeface, special colours, tell us a bit more about the club (anything special ?)

ah this is how this game of designing a logo is played

If you allow me a comment to the logo (the actual one), I'd switch the light and the dark blue. Simply because it gets darker when you go down.

so I did some quick stuff, these are just the b/w versions (reduced size 150x80 & detail of diver). I will need to think a bit more about the colour / graphic versions.

Like the concept What if you made the two I's a freediving line?

Well I thought about it a bit and there are two reasons why I wouldn't wanna do it.
1.) The line would obstruct the diver
2.) It's freediving not linediving
The other thought that I had was to use a toroidal air ring as the dot of the i. Also I'm not quite happy with the typeface. I will probably make a custom f.

Don't steal this because its from a restaurant, nice idea though showing you do indoor pool work and dive outside in the sun

Go for a simple design, 'F' for Freedivers, maybe you could get sponsorship from Fosters ;-)
