My husband and I are pretty new to diving. I am definitely a warm water kinda' girl! Where would you recommend going where the water would be warm and there would be plenty of colorful corals and fish?
We'd like to go around Feb. or March if water temp. permits anywhere... but would be willing to wait until Summer if it means going to a better site. Thanks!

during feb or mar is pleasant time to visit thailand, you can choose to dive either andaman coast or gulf of thailand. Pop & cheap site ppl like to take dive courses or make a dive trip is koh tao, probably suite for new divers. Memorable diving holiday i do recommend similand, richelieu rock where whale sharks are often seen. please check this out for discounted rates & more info. here http://save-money-diving.com/index.php?pageid=area_info&locid=thailand

there are so many places that fit what you are looking for. however, there are a few that stand above the rest. since you are new to diving, however, that cuts it down a bit, because most of the best diving is deep diving with current, which is more for advanced divers.
anywhere in malaysia is ideal, especially sipadan, mabul and tioman. malaysia is absolutely beautiful above and below the waterline. then there is boracay, philippines. this is a paradise. i was just there a few months ago, and we would leave the beachside bars to go jump in the ocean around one am every night. the water was PERFECT! as one am, in water up to my chin, i could look down on any given night and clearly see my feet on the beautiful white sand of the bottom; by moonlight!!! the diving is truly worldclass. indonesia also has great diving and a lot of fun stuff to do above the surface.
another great place to dive is belize, in central america. this is some unbelievable diving, with some of the best land excursions in the rainforests. hope this helps.

I would hit Fiji for sure. Just got back from there in December. Fiji is famous for it's warm water, soft corals and little to no current. It makes for the most pleasant dive(s) I've ever been on. I was there for 1 week and the coldest the water got was 83 and that was at 78 feet! We are putting together a dive package to stay at the Treasure Island resort.....what else can I say, it's just beautiful. Best diving I've ever done! Most of the divers didn't need a wetsuit, it's just perfect. I'd check that out.
