Mates!
As seen below the picture, the woodgun is the latest one of devotosub and also has open muzzle, too
i heard that it has 8m efective range , 2x18mm latex, 6.5mm devotosub inox and price is 273€ with reel.
i am planing to buy one but one point made me unhappy ,it has metal wishbone !? can give any damage to body after fired if we don't think being silence in water!, let's take into consideration other advantage and disadvantage metal wishbone against rope before i fix my idea
if someone here used this woodgun can also tell me how is buoyancy in water, too

Hi Sedate, I have 2 wooden guns. One is with dyneema wishbone, the other is with metal wishbon. I like the dyneema better. The metal wishbone (Picasso plana pacific) is damaging the wood in every shot and even sometimes when I hurry to load the gun. I don't know if the Deveoto gun will have scratches from the metal wishbones, but it is a beautiful weapon. I've seen it in a local shop and simply loved its look. I would buy it even with the metal wishbones, moreover you can easily change to dyneema if you don’t like the metal ones.
Cheers!

Dobs!
you woodguns is open muzzle or not?
i mean that the open muzzle with loop latex is much different!
My idea; after fired all woodguns work under water like a Catapult , if the gun is open muzzle and latex are loop, too
i am not sure but there is an angle from hole to the metal wishbone, and latex lay on the right/left of the gun surface, after fired should has work like Catapult , not sure Dobs! just an idea! Can you add here your woodgun photo, please!

Sedate, buy the gun :) , sell the rubbers :waterwork , buy new bulk rubbers with the money :thankyou and put a kevlar wishbone on and all your troubles are over and you can shoot in peace.

Peter. :) :)

I can’t understand your idea very well, but anyway… Both of my guns are open muzzle with circular bands.
Here are some pictures:
Gun one with dyneema wishbone: http://forums.deeperblue.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=5096

Gun two with metal wishbone (now is metal. When I took the pictures I was experimenting with dyneema wishbones):
[ame="http://forums.deeperblue.net/showthread.php?t=62836"]Here's my second attempt[/ame]

If you are in Turkiye, contact Apnea who is the manufacturer of the gun and try to get it without the shaft and the rubbers.. And replace them directly with a sharkfin and dynema setup which you will end up using in any case :)

And also one more thing Sedate:
Do not beieve everything you heard mate; 2x18 mm rubbers,6.5 mm shaft,a very thin and gentil barrel shape andddd 8 meters effective range rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl
Maybe they were using another type of energy that we cannot considerate or maybe they did the test outside the water mate :)
Unbelievable ya......

I have had that gun in my hand a few times and really, it does not compare to any totem, abellan or other euro woody.

Yeah the shape is nice but thats it. Its too light to handle twin 18 effectively and 8m range errrr i think not.

Also the trigger mech is a bit suspect as there is a lot of spear wobble when it is locked in the mech.

Sometimes a cheaper gun is just that... cheaper ;)

I think i know the thought behind 8m range it is the fange from the tip of your Fins :D

Anyway, as shane said I also dont think that gun can give up to 8m range unless it is 2m long... We found some time to play with that gun at last years Eudi, dont get me wrong it is a nice piece but it has limits like other brands..

Thanks all mates replaid to my thread,
i will definately think twice :duh
Regards,
Sed
