hi guys

wanting a little information on squeezes in depth diving.

1. what are the syptoms the differenciate one squeeze from another
2. how serious are the differnt squeezes
3. what should a diver do after a squeeze, minor and or major.

reason i asked is i had a mild squeeze on sunday, coughed a little and a very small amount of blood in my spit, day after slight heavyness at the very top of my chest ant the base of my neck.

would like to know what type of squeeze it is, and what the best way of reducing the chance of happening again. depth was 41m.

DD

Hi DD,

Sounds like it could be a bit of both. The fact that you had chest heaviness the day after leads me to think that it could be lung related.

Check out this article:

BTW, had you done this depth before? How many times?
